Student Senate secures funding accessible period products

Recent approval from the university's President's Office has granted the Student Senate the ability to allocate approximately $260,000 towards the supply of menstrual products throughout Ohio University Athens campus. In a strive towards menstrual equity on campus, the Student Senate recently secured funding to ensure the availability of period products in campus restrooms.

BSO operates under tight budget

 Prior said BSO is working with a tight budget to pay the staff and materials for families and the orientation itself to run and what they are paying now is close to the bare minimum. Other institutions with more flexible budgets are able to provide more perks, Prior said.
