Ohio is heading to the Windy City to take on some hefty opponents.
Syracuse didn’t just have to face Ohio in Bird Arena this weekend, it also had to compete against the raucous energy of the crowd.
Ohio takes on Syracuse in two-game home series.
Ohio (5-3) is hanging on at just above .500 after splitting its last two series. The Bobcats still have room to improve after some struggles on both sides of the puck, but they are hoping to be able to pull through during their trip to New York this upcoming weekend.
Ohio traveled to Missouri this weekend to take on Maryville, and ended up splitting the weekend series.
The combined efforts of new recruits and a fresh goalie allowed the Bobcats to earn a 4-2 win against the Knights and split the series.
A rocky first period and a lack of cohesiveness ultimately cost the Bobcats a victory, as they fell to the Knights 2-3.
While they still have some room to grow offensively, the Bobcats have been able to produce goals, especially in the third period. This weekend, Ohio will strive to carry that energy throughout all the periods as it takes on Calvin.
Ohio was back for more in Bird Arena on Saturday night, taking on West Virginia in the final game of the weekend series. Ohio faced some of the same offensive struggles that it had on Friday, but overall were able to pull through with a 5-1 victory and series sweep.
