These notable pop culture events will celebrate anniversaries in 2019; Janet Hulm was announced as the interim dean of libraries

Today is Friday, Dec. 28, 2018. Here’s what you need to know:

Good morning,

Well, 2019 is here, which means some of our favorite movies, television shows and notable events will celebrate major milestones.

Woodstock, the music festival that attracted more than 400,000 people, happened 50 years ago. When Harry Met Sally… and The Simpsons will both turn 30 in the new year, whereas Friends and The Lion King will celebrate 25 years.

The Sopranos, which you can stream on HBO, and SpongeBob SquarePants first aired 20 years ago. June 25 will mark 10 years since Michael Jackson’s death.

And do you remember when Kanye West interrupted Taylor Swift at the VMAs? That was also 10 years ago, and nothing has really changed.
