Letter: If elected, Restart will need Action's help

As we close in on the final days of the student government election, I want to briefly reflect on what’s turning out to be a watershed year in student politics at Ohio University. By all accounts, it seems like big changes are coming, and the Restart ticket will take the student body’s desire for new leadership to heart.

Letter: Action candidates are committed to diversity

I am writing you because I want to express why I think Action is the best ticket! Not only is the presidential candidate, Zainab Kandeh, sincere about her mission with Action, she is also determined to have the voices of the minorities heard. I think it is great that all the other tickets have great plans, but they are missing one of the biggest things that all candidates should incorporate with their tickets: DIVERSITY OUTREACH! I refuse to vote for a candidate who does not come into the Multicultural Center to get acquainted with the African-American students or reach out to other minorities so that they can feel comfortable coming to them. How can I express what I want to see change on the campus if I do not know what the president looks like?

Letter: Tickets present tough choice for voters

The story so far: On March 31, The Post posted my letter on how I believed that no student should vote in the Student Senate elections for any one of the three “terrible” tickets. This made a lot of people angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.
