Post Letter: OU learning communities are proof of poor money handling

Hey, President McDavis! Riddle me this: Why is it that Ohio University sees it fit to spend more than $14,000 on concerts and food for freshman with similar interests? Excuse me if I sound bitter, but as a person who completely supports themselves financially; rent, tuition and all, and who works more than 50 hours a week to be able to afford to take classes off-and-on each quarter, it's disgusting to see a group of 50 or more students come through the Chipotle line getting burritos filled with double meat, extra gaucamole, chips and drinks, totaling more than $95 in food; paid for in full with a card budgeted by Ohio University. Four learning communities have come through Chipotle this week alone buying food with money Ohio University has budgeted them. Other people have told me that OU paid for their Learning Community to attend an Afroman concert.

Post Letter: 'Sexecology' guests do not alleviate OU's budget woes

Last weekend, using your hard-earned money, Ohio University paid two hippies to marry the Appalachian Mountains in a chapel where proud Bobcat alumni have been wed for years. Yes, you read that correctly. You paid for UC-Santa Cruz art professor Beth Stephens and her female life partner Annie Sprinkle (the self-proclaimed world's first porn star to hold a Ph.D.) to get married to a geologic feature.
