Regardless of whether Brad Bower or Theo Scott starts under center for the Bobcats tomorrow afternoon, there's one thing the Bobcats are sure of: the tremendous pressure that either signal-caller will face from Eastern Michigan's front four.

I will never forget freshman year when I called salons on Court Street looking to get my hair straightened. One receptionist answered the phone cheerily, Thank you for calling! How can I help you? I asked for an approximate cost for a wash and then flat iron. She answered, Fourteen dollars. Fourteen dollars? That's it? I asked incredulously, fully expecting to pay thirty-five dollars at least. You mean like run a flat iron through it? she asked, obviously confused. Well

Usually Monday nights are pretty slow and uneventful here in Athens, Ohio, but Jessie Lynn Abirached has changed all that. Jessie is probably one of the best amateur live performers I have ever heard and she is playing at Red Brick on Monday nights. Not only does she cover songs from some of the greats, but she also performs some of her own works. Along with being an exceptional guitarist and vocalist, she is a great person, staying late to play a few extra requests put in by her newly made fans. I fully recommend checking her out at http://www.myspace.com/jessielynnmusic and checking her out at Red Brick on Monday nights.

We wish to thank everyone who attended the recent opening of The Bra Project: No 2 Are Alike. It was a great experience for all of the artists who, through this collaborative effort, found new friendships and were able to channel their creative energies into a project that captivated the hearts of many. This project brought to the forefront messages not only about breast cancer awareness, but also women's connective-ness to their bodies, their lives, their strengths and to each other.
In a recent survey by Trojan Brand Condoms, Ohio University was shown to be deficient when it comes to providing anonymous help for sexual health questions. However, the Student Health Services Web site, which OU officials had concerns about in the past, received a perfect score. When it was all said and done, OU got a 'B' average from Trojan Condoms. It is important to question the motivation of the survey, as Trojan benefits from any marketing gimmick with its name attached. But regardless, the survey did bring some good ideas to light.
