This past weekend sent already anxious students into a frenzy, especially women. Social media posts circulated calling for students not to attend frat parties due to a “rape initiation night” rumor. This meant that fraternity pledges had the intention to sexually assault girls, particularly freshmen, as an initiation task.

This semester, Ohio University is offering a survivor-centered arts exhibit that centralizes survivor experiences in relation to interpersonal violence. The exhibit is called “In This Space: Disrupted,” and it features 14 banners created by 12 survivors and two co-survivors who have demonstrated their experiences through these artistic creations that represent the idea of “spaces” — both of violence and of healing.

Coping Clinic: Feel Good Fridays at 11 a.m., hosted virtually by Ohio University’s Counseling and Psychological Services, or CPS. Join CPS for an online, drop-in workshop that offers students creative ways to explore their thoughts and feelings. Resources to practice healthy behaviors will also be presented. Students do not have to be a client with CPS or currently located in the state of Ohio to engage in Coping Clinic workshops.

It was the latest in a seemingly never-ending disappointing delay of Hollywood itself, but at least the 93rd Academy Awards were still set to happen.

Stationed at a fire watchtower, she encounters a boy who is being hunted by mercenaries. Pitched as an action film, with shady pasts and an abstract sense of violence, “Those Who Wish Me Dead” is an example of a Neo Western.
