When walking through Baker University Center on a normal afternoon, students, faculty and members of the community are often met with monotonous escalator rides getting them from one place to another. Take a walk through Baker Center on Wednesday afternoons, however, and people are serenaded by music of the region.

Peachfuzz with King Buu and Cid Berry at The Union, 18 W. Union St., at 7:00 p.m. Opening for the event will be King Buu, a rock band from Cleveland, Ohio. Shortly after, Peachfuzz, a band identifying as rock-n-rock creating stoner pop music, will take the stage.

It’s been a week since Lee Jihoon, also known as Woozi, has released his first-ever mixtape. The singer is most well known as being the lead vocal for the boy group, SEVENTEEN, but he has also made his mark as an established producer in the K-pop industry. Though the 25-year-old has over a hundred songs copyrighted under his name, “Ruby” is his official solo debut.

Troye Sivan is an Australian native who’s known for beginning his career on Australian music shows, as well as Youtube, as a singer-songwriter and actor. Despite being widely known by international fans as a Youtuber, Sivan eventually slipped more into the music scene in 2013 after being signed by EMI Australia. His first EP, TRXYE, gained notable traction back in 2014, and his second EP, WILD, followed soon after in 2015.

Nine years after its initial release, Taylor Swift rereleased her fourth studio album, Red. Running just over two hours long, Red (Taylor’s Version) features the rerecordings of the original 21 songs from the album/era, plus nine new songs “from the vault.” It’s the second album she has re-recorded in the process to regain ownership of her masters.

On Nov. 5th, Portland rapper Aminé released his latest album, Two Point Five. A new wave R&B/hip-hop hybrid, this new album is a shift from the initial sound that brought him such notability. Some tracks on the project go back to his earlier rap sound, but those tracks have an alternative sound that focuses more on melodic choruses than being overly lyrical.

Coldplay holds a special spot in pop culture for late millennials and early Gen Z-ers. The Britpop band is responsible for hits like “Yellow,“ “Clocks” and “Viva La Vida,” which have all been rather popular for the better part of the past two decades. But, its latest release doesn’t quite live up to its past efforts. It’s not necessarily a bad album, it just doesn’t quite reach the status of the other albums.
