OU to sunset 32 undergraduate programs

The Ohio Department of Higher Education enacts Advance Higher Education Act, or Senate Bill 1. Through the bill, any program receiving an average of less than five graduates annually will be eliminated.

OU extends flexible work policy, Hayes incident re-highlighted

On Feb. 26, 2025, Ohio University’s Policy 40.063 went into effect, extending a policy allowing flexible work schedules, hours and work locations for administrators and “classified employees.” A LinkedIn post made by Nerrissa Young questions the fairness of Thomas Hayes being removed from one of his in-person courses because of the extension.

Ohio University is moving to a one logo system starting this summer, embracing the arched Ohio as both the academic and athletic mark. In addition, a new OU mark is being introduced later this spring.
