Free pizza lures 1,000 students to South Beach

Nothing attracts college students like free food and, of course, a giant inflatable Moon Bounce. Slice of Athens, which took place on South Beach last Friday, offered fresh, free and local pizza to an estimated 1,000 Ohio University students.

Mic Harrison and the High Notes took the small bar stage in Jackie O's, 24 W. Union St., last Thursday exemplifying a great stage presence. They're currently touring the country promoting their new album Great Commotion.

In the following weeks, rumors and stories circulated about stars such as Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony desiring to leave their respective organizations to form a rival super team with Amare Stoudemire and the Knicks in New York. If this trend continues, it offers a scary and dim future for the NBA.

Licensing revenue earns Ohio $8.2 M

Advances in medicine and pharmaceuticals helped Ohio University earn more than $8.2 million in licensing income during fiscal year 2010, a $1.3 million increase compared to the previous year, according to the Office of Research Communications.

I am just like you. I like pictures. I like graphics. What I don't like is large blocks of text because let's face it, that's too much like reading for class. Words alone don't necessarily convey a message. Our job is to get you content in an easily understood fashion, and I think words and images together do that best. On the subject of content, The Post doesn't just want to write stories about what Ohio University students need to know, but also about what they want to know. My intention when picking columnists and content for the first week of class was to run what I think are need-to-know topics.

A search warrant was issued yesterday for an Ohio University student who allegedly stole a laptop from the university in late May.
