Ohio swimming and diving competed in the 2024 MAC Championships at the Ohio University Aquatic Center in Athens, Feb. 27 through March 2. The team finished 3 overall with two individual MAC Champions, Zita Szoke in the 200 Free and Casi DiBetta in both the 100 Yard Breast and the 200 Yard Breast. The Athens Armory, located at 2 W. Carpenter St., a historic building that has been part of the City of Athens since 1997, will likely have a new look by this time next year as the city is working toward redeveloping the building into a community and business center for residents.

It was not long ago the third seed in the Mid-American Conference tournament seemed to be an afterthought for Ohio, which trailed Central Michigan by two games. Now, Ohio is one win over Buffalo (4-25, 2-14 MAC) on Tuesday from solidifying its place as a top No. 3 seed in the Conference tournament.
