The search for the new director will start in the fall.
The LGBT Center will move to a temporary space before a permanent one is found in the fall.
The university would be suspended from a minimum of 20 months or until deemed appropriate.
Seven queens will compete for the Miss Uncorked crown on Friday.
The center’s new office will have about 400 more square feet.
This month’s show will feature guests from Columbus and a special cocktail.
A week-long celebration of lesbian and queer women.
Jan Huebenthal will be the first assistant director of the center.
“Right now there is a lot of fear and what I don't see is the fear being addressed,” delfin bautista said. “It just seems like the fear is festering.”
delfin bautista submitted their grievances to OU President Duane Nellis after they were denied an appeal by Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion Gigi Secuban on Jan. 25.
The center is expected to reopen no later than Monday and is temporarily located in Baker 341.
About $6,300 in expenses were found to violate university policy.
The demonstration was in coordination with marches across the United States.
The committee will bring in final candidates for the nationwide search.
The students expressed their frustration of a lack of answers from the university.
Carr previously served as executive director of the Interlink Alliance and special assistant for Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion Gigi Secuban.
As it becomes more accepted in English grammar and society as a whole, there is value in teaching children the validity of the singular “they” from a young age.
delfin bautista said Secuban undermined them by showing up to the office unannounced; restricting purchases, schedules and media communications and generally treating bautista “like a child.”
Students, faculty and Athens residents protested the university's decision to remove bautista at Cutler Hall.
