Hockey: Ohio defeats John Carroll to open up new campaign

Ohio helped new head coach Sean Hogan get his Bobcat career off to a positive start as it defeated John Carroll 5-0. Junior Michael Harris scored two goals for the Bobcats, while sophomore Patrick Spellacy, senior Vincent Nicolella and senior team captain Mike Kretz added one goal each.

Movie review: 'Sin City A Dame to Kill For'

While it’s easy to write off Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller’s “Sin City” as style over substance, there’s more to the movie than just a dynamic visual sense. Not only was the film inventive in its green screen technology and captivatingly beautiful, but there was a strong balance of grittiness with tongue-in-cheek comedy. Poking fun at the mechanics of the film noir genre while also trying to play itself semi-straight.

Werk Out Music & Arts Festival: Experimental exercise

Basically, it was Woodstock without the mud and subsequent catastrophe of Altamont. The funny thing about Altamont was that it was on the West coast, conventionally seen as a very mellow place (“live in NY and move before it makes you too hard, live in California and move before it makes you too soft” & etc.), and was, along with the Manson tragedies, the pinnacle of twisted violence that brought about the downfall of the psychedelic counterculture. But I guess that’s what you get for delegating security duty to blacked-out-Hell’s Angels. And hey, it was the Seventies! Sixties? Who knows these daze, my Dad barely remembers, but anyways…

Early in my formative years, when not only could I stomach large portions of talk show TV but would willing go out of my way to watch it, there was always one guest that stood out. Whether as a comedian, a guest or a simple visitor on the show, Robin Williams always found a way to make the most of a moment and leave you enraptured in his madly-spun loony.

Movie review: 'Life Itself' celebrates Roger Ebert's life, career

When reviewing a movie focused primarily on one of your idols, it is fair to look at that review and take it with a grain of salt. So, if at any moment, you read this review and feel like I am just patting this movie on the back for the sake of it, know that I would never intentionally do that. But, that said, I understand your thinking.
