Lately, it seems there’s been a bit of a Netflix drought, for me anyway. I go on and scroll through a little bit, then ultimately end up watching videos that are on the deep levels of YouTube no human should ever find themselves in. Whether it’s because I’ve watched all there is to watch (a sad fact of my life if it’s true) or Netflix just hasn’t pumped anything too spectacular out lately, I’ve just been at loss of what to do with the free time I try to convince myself I have.

The 2019 Oscars were Sunday, and with no host and a ceremony that ended before midnight, it was a night full of surprises and big wins. Black Panther picked up key wins in the technical categories and became the first Marvel movie to win an Oscar. Bohemian Rhapsody also picked up some big wins, but it was Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper who stole the show. Since the original in 2014, The LEGO films have always been delightfully self-aware. They seem to have a knack for knowing exactly what audiences are thinking, even if it’s a criticism, and immediately make a joke about it. The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part knows its greatest flaws, including not being quite as good as its predecessor.
